Welcome to Shery and the Psychodelics!
Shery and the Psychodelics provides musical entertainment with the sound, look, and feel of the great rockin' bands of the 60's and early 70's. Shery and the Psychodelics is modeled after the "Old School" bands such as Janis Joplin, Cream, Jefferson Airplane and Jimi Hendrix. Shery and the Psychodelics performs cover songs from the full spectrum of music created from the 60's to now. We also perform dynamic new originals in the rockin' old school format that address the issues of today. Shery and the Psychodelics is all about the sound, tone and feel of the great rock shows, and they back it up with talent and equipment. This isn't a group of people that work day jobs and play music at night as an excuse to get out of the house. They have all dedicated their lives to creating and making the band better, and it shows.
Shery and the Psychodelics understands the importance of equipment to properly reinforce the sound they produce. They have invested everything to possess the best equipment possible to present their music to the audience. Since locating in St. Augustine, Florida ten years ago, the group has performed 120 to 150 shows per year at a variety of venues.
On the news front:
4/29/09- Shery and I would like to welcome back Dave O'Dell and the addition of Michael "D" to the group. Michael was the touring drummer for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts in the 80's, and his experience and work ethic shows. In short order, he has learned many of our original songs as well as the cover tunes that we do. We are now able to perform covers as diverse as Green Day, 7Mary3, Van Morrison, James Taylor, Eagles, and Black Sabbath, to name a few. Shery and I are honored to have these guys, and look forward to showing off our musical versitility at our shows. Check our Show Schedule page for all of our upcoming shows.
Since the demise of Stewart Music, Harley & Shery have taken over the commercial location next door @ 490 S.R. 16, Suite A. We have turned it into a 24 track recording and lesson studio. We are naming the facility, "The Music Factory". Feel free to stop on by and say hello and check it out.
